Oriental Kitchen in Rhinelander

Normally our go to visit for Chinese buffet. Good variety. Last evening all 4 of us got upset stomachs after our meal for the first time in years. Been going here for over 10 years. Appears to be a new cook? Otherwise historically it's a great place for buffet and take out.

Food was gross, bland, and cold. Staff was rude. No changing tables in the bathroom, had to change my daughter on the nasty floor. Not coming back. Waste of money and time.

Best Chinese Restaurant Around!!!

I was shopping at Walmart today and have missed my favorite restaurant so much since they closed because of the pandemic. I decided that today I would endulge. Glad I did! It was wonderful! $9 for a take out box stuffed with my choice of 4 items plus soda, shrimp sauce and sweet and sour sauce! Enough for 2 more meals for me. Still the best deal in Rhinelander! I absolutely love their food and service. My favorite restaurant forever!! Best food in all of this town!

Food is not good as it use to be. And fruit flies on the fruit bar. Staff is sometimes rude.

Dont know why all the negative reviews we visited last night food was great as always restaurant was clean and servers were quick to grab our plates when finished

Was very slow when we got there ( probably due to pizza ranch ) almost didn't go in but thought we wanted Chinese food so went in anyway. Food was warm at best. Out of most items. Would recommend pizza ranch over the kitchen

Decent Chinese. Great for hangovers. Service is sometimes lacking.

I don't know if we went there when the air conditioner was broke, or if this place doesn't believe in air conditioning... When we walked in... the place was so warm I couldn't breathe. I immediately walked out.

Food selection was just ok. And even with a empty glass sitting on the edge of the table was never asked if we wanted any refills.

Will not be going back!! Waitress was flossing her teeth behind the buffet. Should have walked out then. Next went to pay and their sign says free drink or soup with takeout buffet and they tried changing me $1.00 for the drink. Said anything now under $6.00 they charge for the drink. Pointed out their sign so they took the $1.00 off.

Good food. Clean. Good service. And inexpensive. What more could u want.

They should offer free rides out to your car in a wheelbarrow because after you are done eating you can't move or much less walk. Simply delicious and outstanding.

Chinese buffet with a good range of options, mostly kept fresh not always.

My friends and i visited this place because of the reviews. Once we arrived and began to eat the food deeply saddened us. Nothing had flavor even the egg drop soup was flavorless. We were all disappointed to spend 9.45 per person on something so distasteful. We will not be returning as this was a very disappointing experience.

It was just ok chinese. I'm not a big buffet fan, but think the quality of food is a little subpar.

A decent buffet. Always the right temperature. Plenty of meat dishes. Could use more vegetable variety. The Chinese donuts were dried out.

Can i give a 1/2 star? There must be better Chinese food in Rhinelander wis. The food was cold. Egg Drop soup cold is not pleasant. It didn't have any flavor either. Staff was not friendly. We didn't feel welcome there. And I could do without the staring. I'm quite normal". I think at least. Never came to the table to take plates/ refill drinks.

Lot's of delicious variety. Pleasant staff. Very good value.

Sweet and sour chicken was raw pink inside. When approaching the manager he said he didn't understand and that we just needed to pay the bill. We then told our waiter whom translated to the manager. The manager the came to our table with no apologies or restitution and told us to get more... seriously WTH! It doesn't take a genius to cook chicken nuggets and the sweet and sour sauce was runny, tasted more like duck sauce. The rest of the food was dry and bland. I then asked for more iced tea and was given half a glass. The service, staff and food was TERRIBLE! I will not go back nor do I recommend. I'm now feeling quite sick.

Always friendly and good food

I was craving chinese food so my wife and I decided to try it out. Waste of $20 for a buffet that really didnt have much variety. Plus it was not all that good. I had better.

Great ALL you can eat Chinese buffet complete with a desert bar. So many choices and options and it is ALL sooooooo good it's hard to try everything!! It's a definite must stop!!

Didn't get the soup we ordered, but paid for it. For being a budget and not being able to look at food was not our cup of tea.

Good food clean and friendly. Price is most reasonable. I will be happy too eat there again.

The owners and staff always act like they hate being here. I love sweet & sour soup, so I always get a cup, but it is never the same and most of the time have to throw away. Wish they would indicate on the food name signage items that are "HOT", my stomach cannot take too hot. Wish they offered small glasses of soda, they always push the soda on you to run up the bill.

I've always loved this place. The food is 'very' reasonably priced, whether you're dining in or snaggjng a to go box to fill up with whatever you want. You get a free soda with carry out/to-go orders, the whole staff is always very cordial every time I've stopped in over the last several years. I think the 3 star rating on here isnt fair at all. They've clearly chosen us to be a part of our community for several years now and they have remained consisteant with their business and service up to today. *5 stars.* when hunger comes knocking and we decide we want to eat everything they've always delivered; an endless supply of all the classic americanized Chinese classics that can be naughty but satisfying to gorge until you are over full lol. "China Buffet: Stuffing the faces of Rhinelander locals to contentment for years." you all know youve stopped in to eat more than once, give them the recognition that they have built up and earned

Medium to sall size dining room but nice. Modest selection of food in buffet but it was kept full of hot deliscious food. Clean. Wait staff missed refilling our drinks so I brought our empty containers to them for refills.

Food was ok. Staff is creepy. Stared at the people as they ate. Very rude staff. Never smiled and barely talked to you. Just grabbed things and never asked if you were done with it.

So much to choose from. Was super delicious. It was a quiet day, not many folks there. Wondering why it wasn't packed with all of the excellent food sitting on the buffet.

Good selection of food on the buffet for the size of the restaurant. Some of the things on the buffet were cold. Like the fried shrimp that should have been warm. Maybe the heat table was not working that great. I will give them another try one day.

We ate here because it had decent reviews and we love Asian food. But.. the only things that were good were the egg Foo young, rice, and candies bananas.All the sauces taste watered down, the food must sit way too long because it's cold and/or hardened, and the meat is very low quality.The staff was not friendly, though prompt to take away dirty dishes. We typically doiwaste food, but we sent away a plate and a half of food... For $9.45, I'd call it a bust.The host at the counter kept staring, which really dampened the atmosphere. The tables were clean, but the floor had a lot of crumbs. I definitely won't be back.Oh! And the Jell-O was legitimately solid enough I had to work at breaking it. 🤮
